Buffalo Onion Ranch Dip with Chicken is a deliciously savory, warm dip made with cream cheese, buttermilk, and cooked chicken. It is a crowd pleasing dip that is great for game days or parties.
The Big Game is right around the corner and that means party time for many of you! While my New England team didn’t make it, I will still be tuning in and enjoying some yummy appetizers and snacks like thisBuffalo Onion Ranch Dip with Chicken that I recently made.
Thanks to Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix this dip is the perfect cross between buffalo chicken dip and French Onion dip in one delicious bowl.
Do you plan on serving sweet and savory Big Game snacks or more salty snacks? I guess I am stuck in the middle because my kids prefer more sweeter things, but my husband and I crave the salty crunch of chips with savory dips.
I made a test batch of thisBuffalo Onion Ranch Dip with Chicken to see if it would be a hit with my picky husband. We had a lighter dinner and then after the gym (haha, I know) we enjoyed a bowl of this dip and some chips. My brain said to go with the carrot sticks but my stomach was like-chips, chips, chips!
Regardless, thisBuffalo Onion Ranch Dip was scrumptious and a little too good! I cooked up some white meat chicken breast (about 2 cups) that I sliced super thin so it cooked up in like 5 mins. After it was done, I allowed it to cool, and shredded it by hand to get the pieces a little finer.
I added in the cheese, milk, pepper sauce, andLipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix packet, (a little extra cheese) baked it and in 20 minutes I has a golden bowl of warm, savory dip. It was certainly a recipe that could be prepped, and warmed ahead of time too!
Want to make thisBuffalo Onion Ranch Dip with Chicken? Here is what you will need:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/4 cup cayenne red pepper sauce
- 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- *optional- I added 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese to the mix
Directions:
Cook chicken if needed.
Shred chicken, and mix with all of the above ingredients.
Bake in a small oval casserole dish for 20 minutes on 375.
Garnish with blue cheese crumbles, or scallions.
Enjoy warm with veggies or crackers.
This dip is fantastic with toasted bread, chips, or veggies sticks. You can find additional recipes like:Onion Chili Dip,Salsa Onion Dip, orWarm Cheesy Artichoke Dip here.
